January in a Nutshell

January has been a fairly exciting month for us. We sold our house which we honestly never thought would happen. We don't know if it is actually going to go through since they have missed some deadlines but we will see. Right now we have until February 27. I have mixed feelings about all of it. I have loved being here in Hyrum and especially love all of the people we have been able to associate with. We have made some wonderful friends and had some great growing and learning experiences.

Here are a few pictures of the girls throughout the month. They are growing and changing and are so independent. Heaven help me. I put them in a tumbling class at the Sport's Academy on Friday's and they loved it. They loved jumping on the trampoline's especially. Eliza is really good at it and can fall on her bum and get back up to her feet.

The girls in their big girl panties. We are going to wait until we move (or don't move) to start the whole potty training process. We did however get rid of Eliza's binky. She has done surprisingly well. There have only been a few times where I wanted to give in and give it back.

Amelia has a lazy eye and last Friday we took her down to Primary Children's in Riverton to meet with a specialist. We found out that her right eye also wonders but not as much. We go back every 4 to 5 months to have it checked and to make sure her vision isn't being affected. The only way to fix it is surgery and that won't happen until she is at least 4. These are her super cool glasses she got to wear because they dilated her eyes.

The girls bonked heads before going to bed the other night so Mike put a band aid on Amelia's head. She slept with it all night and proceeded to wear it for most of the day.

I took the girls to pick out some new sunglasses and these are Eliza's. They are so dang opinionated. I tried to get her to get some other ones that were pink and orange with jewels but she preferred these turquoise ones. She is styling.

We went for a walk around the neighborhood today and it actually looks warmer then it was. Eliza stopped and had to throw rocks into the drain and we were probably there for about 20 minutes or so. I love how the simple things in life bring the greatest joy.

We love Mo Willems books at our house. Ryan and Rebekah introduced them to us and our girls are just as big of fans as we are. My mom got them two for Christmas and they are their favorites. The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog and The Pigeon Needs a Bath. They have memorized certain lines from the books actually and prefer to read them to us.
